Bloodhound Gang - Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo

Seriously, Marc Klasfeld is a funny dude. We worked on several videos and the thing that stood out the most to me is that he's a comedian. Sure he's done a few "serious" videos (boards of which I'll eventually post) but for the most part, the guy writes funny stuff. Below are my car designs and boards for Bloddhound Gang's 2005 video of F.U.C.K.

Enjoy.

Korn FX "Coming Undone"

Back in 2006 my buddy Lil X was directing the video for Korn's song Coming Undone. The video was an effects driven one where the sky falls apart, then in the last act, the band comes undone. Now, X is a master artist in his own right. In fact he's the reason I wanted to get into storyboarding. He got his start boarding for Hype Williams. When I got a call from him to help design effects for the band coming undone, I was super stoked! These boards are a bit looser, and were used for the FX company as a guide as how to have the band fall apart. X and I had a discussion and I went to town. Below are the FX boards followed by the video itself.

Enjoy.

'Nsync and Wolverine!

Here's an oldie from 2001. Wolverine #168. I'm a big fan of hiding stuff in the comics I draw. Sometimes it's blatant cameos. In this particular issue, I put Chris and Justin from 'Nsync, Ali G, Josh Keaton, Joe Mulvihill, Lonny, Brian Truman, Ryan O'Brien, Cain, and the little dude from Bloodsport in. It's always been an extra bonus for me to put easter eggs in my work and this issue was jam packed. I was fortunate enough to get some of my cameo guests to sit for reference photos.

Below are the pencils, layouts and the ref photos for the book.

FIGHT!

It's a simple concept. 2 Combatants, 5 items, 1 location, and a fight to the death. The first one out will be an 80 year old war vet, versus an 8 year old black belt. You'll have to stay tuned to find out what they fight with and where. I have a Facebook page dedicated to it; you can find it here

Here are some of the sketches I've got brewing in an effort to warm up my skills. Also, it's important to note that I'll be doing each episode with different tools. Sometimes marker, brush, digital or all of the above. Anyhow, enjoy.

Rise of the Silver Surfer

I remember the 7th grade; a kid brought an actual copy of Fantastic Four #1 to school. It was a classic story: his grandparents found it perfectly wedged between some magazines in the attic. I was impacted by this in two ways; I became a Fantastic Four fan and I always asked my grandparents if I could go look through the attic in hopes to find some unknown treasure! (to this day, I think attics contain pirate maps and mint condition comics) true story.

Anyhow, when I was asked to work on FF2, I was thrilled.

As promised, here are some of my Fantastic Four storyboards.

Pretty soon, I'll post new stuff.....
